ADVANCE ENGINE COMPANY OPERATIONS

ADVANCED EXTRICATION TACTICS

This course addresses the challenges encountered with those motor vehicle accidents where standard tactics aren’t working. This course also addresses the challenges with modern automobile construction and exotic metal usage and placement. This course is a must for the current day responder.

PATIENT VEHICLE MOVEMENT

This course is designed to address those motor vehicle incidents where patient access poses the greatest challenge. Be it vehicle orientation or the presence of an object like a telephone pole or bridge abutment, this course will teach the student the techniques and equipment necessary to place the vehicle and victim in a more advantageous position.

WHAT TO EXPECT

THE EXPERIENCE

Fire Ground Hydraulics

This course is designed to give the student the value of understanding the relationship between the hose and the nozzle.

While a good pump operator must encompass friction loss, set loss, head loss, etc. to attain the correct pump pressure, the importance of matching the nozzle and hose is often overlooked to attain the optimum flows from your hose line.

This course will focus on flows and how to achieve those flows without creating unmanageable nozzle reaction.

Advanced Extrication Tactics

This course addresses the use of tractor-drawn aerials or “tillers” as commonly called.

This course will give you those common advantages and disadvantages of the tractor-drawn aerial coupled with their uses and best practices.

Advanced Rope “Tree Rescue”

Ever thought about what may happen if faced with someone doing tree work when an emergency happened?

Retrieving an arborist from a tree will present quite a challenge to the unsuspecting rescuer from access to interfacing with arborist rigging practices.

This course will teach you how best practices for access, interface with arborist rigging, create your own rigging, and patient removal.
